RPM: 3 Large Stencil

Davis has been practicing RPM for a few years. He can now write out his own poetry letter by letter on the 3 large stencils. Over the years he has worked very hard to build his visual, tactile, and performance stamina as well as his motor skills.

This one line of his poem, "Pop- so easy to love" took 3 minutes to spell out letter by letter (which is why you're seeing only a short clip). First, he chooses which board he wants me to pick up (1= A-I/ 2= J-R/ 3= S-Z) and then selects a letter from that board to form a word.

In this clip, Davis has global vision and is relying on his motor memory to remember where each letter is located.

RPM Drawing Session

RPM can be used to practice hobbies like drawing. In this clip, Austin, 21 is practicing a new skill of shading and smudging. First, I motor model how to shade and use the tissue to smudge, and then I let him try independently.
